The Purdue Northwest women's basketball team fell short in a tough battle at home against Michigan Tech in GLIAC action on Saturday afternoon, 86-83.

- Senior Kennedy Jackson (Carson, Calif./Redondo Union) added nine points and dished out a season-high ten assists.
- Senior Abbie McDowell (Tecumseh, Mich./Tecumseh) chipped in nine points off the bench going 3-of-4 from deep.
- The Pride ended the game going 27-of-55 (49.1%)Â from the floor and went 9-of-15 (60.0%) from behind the arc.
- Alex Rondorf led Michigan Tech scoring 23 points and grabbing four rebounds with three assists.
- The Huskies finished the contest shooting 30-of-52 (57.7%) from the field and shot 12-of-21 (57.1%) from three-point line.
The Breakdown
- Both teams got off to good starts in the first period and saw the Pride take a slight 19-18 lead after one.
- Heading into the second period, the Pride dropped 30 points to take command of the game heading into halftime up 49-40.
- The Huskies did not give up and started the second half on a 17-5 run and take the lead, 57-55, with over five minutes remaining in the third period.
- Purdue Northwest continued to battle in the third and only be down by four, 67-63, heading into the fourth period.
- Michigan Tech held strong in the fourth but the Pride battled to make it 82-81 down by one with 30 seconds remaining.
- Shaw had a chance to tie but couldn't convert to tie it up and the Huskies would drain their free throws in the end to make it a final of 86-83.
- The Pride led in points of turnovers, 21-12.
- The Huskies held a slight advantage in points in the point, 34-32.
- Purdue Northwest finished at the free throw line going 20-of-26.
