#22 ACHA DI Hockey drops two to #3 Adrian

The Purdue Northwest ACHA DI Hockey team dropped both games to #3 Adrian losing to them last Thursday night, 10-1, and falling in a tough battle at home on Friday night, 4-3.

The Basics
  • Records: #22 Purdue Northwest (10-4-1, 5-4-0), #3 Adrian (18-2-1)

Game 1 
Inside The Numbers
  • Junior Andrew Remer (Lake Orion, Mich.) led Purdue Northwest scoring the lone goal.
  • Freshman Noah Murphy (Faribault, Minn.) added the assist for the game.
  • Freshman Cooper Olson (Maple Grove, Minn.) played 40 minutes in goal for the Pride and made 36 saves.
  • Connor Smith led Adrian scoring a game-high four games and added one assist.
  • Noah Decottiginies started in goal for Adrian and made 21 saves.
The Breakdown
  • Adrian came out strong and scored four goals in the first period.
  • The Bulldogs added four more goals in the second period.
  • The Pride added their lone goal in the third period.
Game 2
Inside The Numbers
  • Remer, freshman Michael Clough (Andover, Minn.), and senior Brandon Prodoehl (Munster, Ind./Munster HS) each scored a goal for the Pride.
  • Murphy dished out two assists during the highly contested game.
  • Olson played all 60 minutes between the pipes for the Pride and recorded 56 saves.
  • Four different Bulldogs scored and earned a goal.
  • Decottignies started in goal again for Adrian and made 22 saves.
The Breakdown
  • Adrian scored quick in the first period off a Smith goal to take an early 1-0 lead after one period.
  • Each team battled back and forth in the second period scoring three goals each and Adrian holding a slim 4-3 lead.
  • No goals were scored in the third period with both teams defenses holding strong and the Bulldogs holding onto the victory.
