The Purdue Northwest women's basketball team held off a scrappy Lewis University squad to earn a 78-69 win on Tuesday evening.

Inside The Numbers
- Junior Tadriana Heard (Justice, Ill./Argo) led Purdue Northwest with a game-high 28 points going 7-of-15 from the field including 4-of-7 from deep and a near perfect 10-of-11 from the free-throw line. She also snagged five rebounds.
- Sophomore Kylie Schmidt (Francis Creek, Wis./Mishicot) added 11 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
- Junior Dash Shaw (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) chipped in ten points and dished out a team-best five assists.
- The Pride ended the game shooting 23-of-44 (52.3%) from the floor and 6-of-16 (37.5%) from the three-point line.
- Kathryn Schmidt led Lewis with 17 points and recorded five rebounds.
- The Flyers finished the contest going 25-of-58 (43.1%) from the field and shot 6-of-18 (33.3%) from behind the arc.
The Breakdown
- Both teams battled in the first quarter and saw the Flyers take a slim 13-11 lead into the second period.
- Down 18-11 in the second, the Pride went on a 15-5Â to regain the lead 26-23 and took the lead into the half, 32-27.
- Purdue Northwest continued their strong momentum from the first half and brought it into the third period and their largest lead of the game at 46-34 with less then five minutes remaining.
- The Pride held off Lewis in the fourth quarter after multiple runs to make their comeback but knocked down free-throws down the stretch to win, 78-69.
