Women's Basketball falls at the buzzer at Hillsdale

The Purdue Northwest women's basketball team fell at the buzzer on the road against Hillsdale at Friday evening, 61-59.

  • Junior Dash Shaw (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) led Purdue Northwest with 15 points going 7-of-16 from the field, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out three assists.

  • Hillsdale headed into halftime with a slight 33-29 lead after Purdue Northwest's comeback.
  • Both teams continued to battle in the third quarter with both teams taking and regaining the lead and headed into the fourth quarter Hillsdale only up 48-47.
  • With the game tied 59-59 and six seconds left, Hillsdale inbounded the ball and saw Sydney Mills knock down a floater with one second left to seal the win for the Chargers, 61-59.
  • The Pride took advantage of the turnovers and scored 12 points to Hillsdales six.
  • Purdue Northwest held a slight advantage in points in the paint, 32-30.
