Isaiah Nieves was able to score a goal in today's matchup against Quincy — his second in two games this fall and his third straight game with a goal dating back to last season. Nieves has scored six goals in his previous 10 career games. But that was not enough to get the win as Quincy was able to get back in front in the second half and finish it out, 2-1.
Quincy was able to record its first goal within eight minutes of game play.
After a 1-0 lead by Quincy, the Pride were able to get the equalizer in the 24th minute to make the score 1-1 as Nieves, who shot it in the high left corner, gathered a free kick that was delivered by senior midfielder
Ryan Moran.
In the second half, Quincy was able to bounce back to get back into the lead 2-1.
Nieves led the offense with four shots, while Moran and sophomore forward
Christian Booth each took two attempts of their own.
Senior goalkeeper
Raul Garrido Garcia started in the net and recorded six saves.
