PNW (9-20) fell to league-leading Wayne State (20-8) by a final score of 15-5 in the weekend series finale.
Jack Gallagher's two-run double put the Pride on the board in the third inning after the Warriors built an early 11-0 lead.
Tyler Schultz recorded his first collegiate home run in the seventh inning as the freshman infielder led the way by going 3-for-4 at the plate.
The Pride added two more in the ninth when a Schultz single up the middle was mishandled in the outfield. The ball rolled to the wall and allowed Schultz and Hansen to score on the play. Hansen, who doubled earlier in the game, led off the ninth with an infield single to shortstop.
Walter tossed the final inning on the mound and took his first career at-bat in the ninth where he drove a full-count pitch to the fence in left-center for a stand-up double.
Sean Casey was charged with the loss after making the mound start for the Pride. Farbak and
Jackson Lund also threw a pair of frames in relief.
Wayne State outhit PNW 15-8 in the fourth matchup in three days between these two ballclubs. Starter Chad Sommers picked up the win in six innings of work as the visitors provided plenty of run support. The Warriors scored five in the first inning and three runs in each of the second, third and sixth innings, before tacking one more in the eighth.
