KENOSHA, Wis. – Hailey Arlis scored twice and
Brinley Hefty netted the late equalizer to lead Purdue Northwest women's soccer in a 3-3 draw Saturday at Wisconsin-Parkside.
The physical, back-and-forth affair saw PNW (1-3-1) grab the early 2-0 lead after the brace from Arlis, her first multi-goal game in a Pride uniform. The first goal came just a few minutes into the contest and the lead extended to two for the Pride in the 20th minute.
Arlis leads the team with three goals on the year and has now scored in back-to-back appearances.
Parkside (0-2-2) got on the board shortly after PNW's second goal to slice the deficit to one at halftime, 2-1.
The action in the match picked up in the second half as Parkside applied pressure to PNW's back line. The Rangers outshot the Pride 17-2 in the second half after PNW held the edge in the opening period.
Parkside found the back of the net in the 78th minute and then the hosts took the late lead in the 85th minute.
Then, Hefty came up with the late heroics to pull the Pride even again at 3-3 in the 89th minute. It was the sophomore's first career goal.
PNW regrouped in the overtime periods and outshot the Rangers 6-2.
Goalkeeper
Bridget Grady recorded five saves in net for the Pride.
PNW's three goals are tied for the team's most scored against a GLIAC opponent since joining the league in 2017.
