ASHLAND, Ohio -- Purdue Northwest returned to the court Friday night at Ashland for its first action in two weeks. PNW fell in straight sets to the host Eagles: 25-13, 25-16, 25-17.
Autumn Beaudoin led the Pride with 9.5 points on eight kills, a block solo and block assist. She also posted six digs.
Kenzie Duggan was close behind, recording nine total points with a team-best nine kills paired with eight digs. The duo combined for 62 of the squad's 102 total attacks.
PNW (0-5) hit .039 overall in the match while Ashland (5-2) rode the momentum of a hot start to post a .307 overall team hitting percentage. The Eagles hit .395 in the opening set.
Danielle Fowler logged a team-high 12 digs for the Pride while
Abigail Negri handed out 14 assists with seven digs.
Holly Faley also reached double digits in the assist category with 10. Seven different Pride players notched a kill in the match including three from freshman
Lauren Sanders.
Ashland's Brooke Peiffer hit .409 to lead the Eagles with 11 kills and 13 digs.
