Box Score MEQUON, Wis. — The Purdue Northwest D2 men's ice hockey team snapped its three-game skid and bounced back Saturday afternoon with a 5-1 win at Concordia Wisconsin.
With the win, PNW moved back to .500 on the year at 9-9 overall (3-3 NCHL). It was a great response from the Pride after suffering a 9-4 setback to the Falcons last night at The Kube.
Ryan Gallant (Oshawa, Ontario) got the scoring started and
Craig Herman (Bloomington, Minn.) added the first of his two goals to give the Pride a 2-0 lead after one period of play.
CUW recorded its lone goal in the second period to trim PNW's lead to one heading into the third. But, the Pride were able to find the back of the night three times in the final period. Herman struck again and was followed with goals by
Sam Bourdages (Hearst, Ontario) and
Patrick Janik (Burbank, Ill.).
Assists were credited on the night to
Brandon Prodoehl (Munster, Ind.) (3), Bourdages (2), Gallant, and Herman.
PNW goaltender
Curtis Campbell (Oshawa, Ontario) made the start between the pipes and picked up the win.
