HAMMOND & WESTVILLE, Ind. – The Purdue Northwest men's basketball team will host East-West University tomorrow on PNW's Westville Campus in the first of back-to-back home games this week. Tuesday's non-conference matchup will tip off at 7 p.m. CST inside H.D. Kesling Gymnasium. The Pride will return to the Hammond Campus Fitness & Recreation Center for Thursday's Region clash at 7 p.m. CST against Indiana Northwest.

LAST TIME OUT
PNW opened the 2021-22 campaign with a pair of narrow defeats last weekend at the GLVC/GLIAC Challenge, hosted by Rockhurst University in Kansas City. The Pride fell 76-71 to William Jewell College on Friday and then suffered a 63-56 setback against RU on Saturday.
Jonte Coleman led PNW with a 21-point effort on seven made threes in Saturday's contest. It was the most 3-pointers made in a game by a Pride men's basketball player since Chandler Spring ('20) drilled eight threes against Ashland two seasons ago.
Caleb Zurliene led the Pride with 16 points on Friday along with
Sangolay Njie's first career double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday's game will be the second meeting between PNW and EWU. The Pride scored 58 second-half points to defeat the Phantoms 82-62 two years ago at H.D. Kesling Gymnasium.
Jyrus Freels scored 14 points and grabbed eight boards in that matchup.
Gregory Boyle also reached double figures in the scoring column with 11 points.

PNW IN HOME OPENERS
The PNW men's basketball team is 2-3 in home openers and tomorrow night's game will mark the second home opener to be played at H.D. Kesling Gymnasium. The Pride hosted Rockhurst for the 2017-18 home opener in Westville.
PNW holds an overall record of 10-16 in games played in Westville.
A LOOK AHEAD
The PNW men's basketball team will continue its non-conference tour this week with a home game against Indiana Northwest on Thursday, Nov. 18 in Hammond, and a road game at Quincy (IL) on Saturday, Nov. 20.
