AUGUSTA, Mich. – The Purdue Northwest women's golf team posted a team score of 336 in the first round of the Panther Invitational Saturday at Stonehedge Golf Club.
Halie Wolf (Lafayette, Ind.) led the Pride over the first 18 holes with a round of 79 (+7). Wolf birdied the Par 3 17 and Par 5 ninth and currently sits tied for 22nd on the board.
Libby Huston (Yale, Mich.) shot an 83 while
Kaitlyn Valiska (New Lenox, Ill.) carded an 85. Huston logged one birdie which came on the Par 4 third hole. Rounding out the PNW lineup were
Miriah Gabel (Pickerington, Ohio) (89) and
Catherine Brzycki (Griffith, Ind.) (95).
The Pride are currently in 11th place as a team and within nine strokes from sixth place heading into Sunday's final round.
