HAMMOND, Ind. – Purdue Northwest women's volleyball opened up play at the 2021 Midwest Region Crossover Friday at the Hammond Sportsplex with a 3-1 setback to McKendree.
The Pride (1-16) won the opening set 25-21 but dropped the next three by final scores of 25-11, 25-17 & 25-19.
Summer Clark led PNW with nine kills to go with three aces and 13 digs, while
Riley Kraiza also added nine kills.
Olivia Brooke logged a 20-20 game with 28 assists and season-high 20 digs.
The Pride recorded five aces and totaled more blocks than McKendree. However, the Bearcats (5-12) out-hit the Pride .238 to .019 in overall team percentage.
