PNW Ice Hockey Finish Their Inaugural Year

HAMMOND, Ind. -- The Purdue University Northwest Men's Ice Hockey team finalized their inaugural year with the Pride, ending on their home ice with a 6-5 win against DePaul University. Since beginning their play at the Kube Sports Complex in Hammond, the Pride have gone undefeated, beating Butler University, Indiana University Northwest and DePaul.

"It was a great inaugural season for PNW Hockey," said Head Coach Kevin Cole. "We really appreciate all the support from the university, community and staff. We had a great group of players and coaches and we are looking forward to an even better 20-21 season."

The Pride had an amazing show of support at their four home games this first season, where a packed crowd watching the Black and Gold win four wins, including their last-minute victory over DePaul. The season also featured an incredibly dedicated fan-base traveling to cheer on the Pride in Homewood-Flossmoor, Kankakee, and at Bulldog Park in Crown Point.

Now entering their offseason, PNW looks ahead to next year and for what is to come, featuring a full season with the Kube as their home ice.
