HAMMOND, Ind. -- The Purdue Northwest Women's Basketball team hosted the No. 3-ranked Ashland University Eagles on Thursday evening at the Fitness and Recreation Center in Hammond. On College of Engineering Night and against a team who came in averaging over 90 points per game, the Pride fell 82-45.

PNW was led by
Savaya Brockington, who scored 10 points on 4-7 shooting, including 2-4 from the free-throw line. She also finished with a team-high seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in 29 minutes of play.

Molly DeValkenaere also scored 10 points in her 26 minutes, while also grabbing five rebounds and collecting two steals.
Anjel Galbraith and
Danielle Nennig scored eight points each and both played over 30 minutes for Head Coach
Courtney Locke, and
Tayler Vauters also grabbed five rebounds in her 24 minutes of action. The Pride as a team outscored the Eagles 10-8 in the paint during the fourth quarter.
