Pride Women's Soccer Ties with Albion College Britons

Pride ties 0-0 after a double overtime battle with the Britons

Box Score HAMMOND, Ind. -- The Purdue Northwest Women's Soccer team experienced their first overtime game of the season on Tuesday, September 17th as they took on the Albion College Britons to a 0-0 tie at Dowling Park.

Pride Goalkeeper Bridget Grady (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln Way East) made four saves in her 45 minutes of action before Leonie Heck (Rösrath, Germany/Albertus-Magnus)took over at the start of the second period, record one save for the Pride.

PNW took five shots on goal and had five corner kicks during the 120-minute battle. A shot by Forward Haneen Abdulla (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) was saved by Britons Goalkeeper Haley Demers in the 101st minute. 

The Pride will next be action on Friday, September 27, as they travel to Houghton, Mich. to take on the Northern Michigan Wildcats in their Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) season-opener.
