Men's Tennis Ends Season With Loss Against #36 Grand Valley State Sunday

GRANDVILLE, Mich. -- The Purdue University Northwest men's tennis team suffered a setback in their final match of the season against No. 36 Grand Valley State, 7-0, Sunday.

GV started the match sweeping doubles play. Sophomores Leon Kah (Munich, Germany) and Dru Kennedy (LaPorte, Ind./LaPorte) won four games at No. 2 doubles but GV's DJ Colantone and Jack Geissler, 6-4. 

Senior Moritz Gisy (Duesseldorf, Germany) forced a three-set tiebreaker in his final match at PNW after dropping first set, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3. Kah won four games in each of his sets but GV's Jack Geissler picked up the victory, 6-4, 6-4.

Junior Jonluke Passett (Orland Park, Ill./Carl Sandberg) recorded two games in the first set and the final one but GV's Martin Matov won the match, 6-2, 6-2. Kennedy won three games in the opening set and one in the final set but dropped his match to Eric Zwemer, 6-3, 6-1.
