PNW Women’s Soccer 2019 Season Concludes with an OT Loss at Parkside

Thank you for supporting PNW Women's Soccer all season long! We look forward to seeing you all again next season!

KENOSHA, Wisc. - -  The Purdue Northwest Women's Soccer team traveled to Kenosha to match up with the Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers on Friday afternoon. Pride Midfielder Sydney Hanson (Alma, Mich./Alma) scored her team-leading third goal of the season in the 85th minute to tie the game at 1 apiece, but the Rangers' Michelle Benitez put the game-winner past Bridget Grady (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) in overtime to defeat the Pride 2-1.

PNW recorded 11 shots, including four on goal, during the contest. Midfielder Brinley Hefty (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere North) led the offensive attack with two shots, one on goal, and got the assist on Hanson's goal. Kiana Chandler (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) and Alexa Vega (West Chicago, Ill./Community) put up the other two shots on goal for the Pride.

Grady made five saves in her over 51 minutes minding the PNW net after relieving Leonie Heck (Rösrath, Germany/Albertus Magnus). Heck made five saves herself, as she played the duration of the first half.

This concludes play for the Purdue Northwest Women's Soccer team in 2019. PNW would like to thank the fans for their unwavering support of Purdue Northwest Athletics. Go Pride!
