HAMMOND and WESTVILLE, Ind. - - The Purdue Northwest Men's Basketball team is preparing to host the Quincy University Eagles on Saturday, November 23 as a part of PNW Kids Day, sponsored by Nipsco. Tipoff at the Hammond Fitness and Recreational Center is set for 3 p.m. (CT).
The Pride come in with a 1-2 record, last seen falling 97-85 in overtime to the UIS Prairie Stars on November 15. As a team, PNW is averaging 77.7 points per game so far this season and is led by two individuals averaging double-figures in scoring per game.
Jyrus Freels (Evansville, Ind.) currently leads the team in multiple categories, including averaging 19 points, 8.3 rebounds and 32.7 minutes per game.
Jordan Doss (Chicago, Ill.) is averaging 12.3 points and 5 rebounds per game and is second on the team with five steals recorded.
Chandler Spring (Covington, Ind.) leads the team in three-point percentage, as he is currently shooting 56.3-percent from beyond the arc.
Other statistical leaders include
Xavier Hallinan (Portland, Ore.), who has collected a team-high six steals, is averaging 7.3 points and three assists per game in his 70 minutes of play.
Xavier Allison (Carlsbad, Cal.) is currently tied with Hallinan for the team lead in assists with nine so far.
