HAMMOND and WESTVILLE, Ind. - - The Purdue Northwest Women's Basketball team is preparing for two games this week, beginning with a trip to University Park, Illinois to match up with the Governors State Jaguars on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. (CT).
The Pride currently sport a 1-3 record, last seen falling 62-52 to the Tritons of Missouri-St Louis on November 15. As a team, PNW is averaging 60.5 points per game so far this season and is led by three individuals averaging double-figures in scoring per game.
Molly Devalkenaere (Milwaukee, Wis./Brookfield) leads the Pride with 10.7 points per game.
Savaya Brockington (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) is averaging 10.5 points, 5.25 assists and four rebounds a game; and
Anjel Galbraith (Vallejo, Cal./Salesian College Prep) leads the team with 143 minutes logged while recording 10.3 points, three assists, 2.8 rebounds and two steals per game.
Other statistical leaders include
Danielle Nennig (Wrightstown, Wis./Wrightstown), who is leading the team with 6.5 rebounds and 2.25 steals per game, is averaging 9.8 points per game as well.
Brittany Barnard (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) has recorded four of the nine PNW blocks so far this season.
The Pride will return home after this away competition to take on the University of Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars on Saturday, November 23.
