Box Score KENOSHA, Wis. -- Sophomore Danielle Nennig (Wrightstown, Wis./Wrightstown) recorded her fifth straight game in double figures with 16 points but it was not enough as the Purdue University Northwest women's basketball team suffered a setback against Parkside, 80-57, on Saturday.
The Rangers (7-10, 5-6 GLIAC) led 41-19 at the half against the Pride (2-13, 0-11 GLIAC) then outscored PNW 39-38 in the second half to take the 80-57 victory.
Nennig scored 16 points in the game including 10 in the first half. Junior Bayley Goodman (Fowler, Ind./Benton Central) had nine points, freshman Brittany Barnard (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) added nine points, Freshman Kelli Damman (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll) scored eight points and freshman Molly DeValkenaere (Milwaukee, Wis./Brookfield) pitched in eight points for the Pride in the loss.
Parkside jumped on a 19-14 lead in the first quarter before expanding the lead to 41-19 at the half after outscoring the Pride 22-5 in the second period.
Back-to-back threes by Goodman and Damman cut it to 74-54 with 3:25 left in the game. The Pride were able to outscore the Rangers in the final frame, 18-13.
PNW returns home and to action Thursday, January 31 as the Pride host Michigan Tech starting at 5 p.m. CT for the "Mane Event" during Homecoming Week hosted by the PNW Alumni Community.
