Pride Drop GLIAC Contest at Northern Michigan

MARQUETTE, Mich. -- The Purdue University Northwest men's soccer team (2-3-1) dropped a 5-0 road decision Sunday to the Northern Michigan Wildcats (4-1) at the NMU Soccer Field.

Callum Olpin got the scoring started for the Wildcats in the 20th minute with a goal off the assist from Lewis Murray. NMU would add two more goals before the half as the home team took a 3-0 advantage into the break.

The Wildcats would tack on two more goals in the second half, including Murray with a 78th minute strike off the assist from Brady Kronenbug. 

Senior Bradley Brack (Crown Point, Ind./Merrillville) got the start in goal and registered two saves in 45 minutes of action. Raul Garrido Garcia (Madrid, Spain/Menesiano) was then in goal for the duration of the second half. 

Next up, The Pride return to Pepsi Field to host the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals Friday, Sept. 21 at 2:30 p.m. (CST).
