Women's Soccer Drops 3-0 Decision to Michigan Tech

HAMMOND, Ind. – The Purdue University Northwest (2-5) women's soccer team lost in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) match 3-0 Sunday at home against the Michigan Tech Huskies (4-1-1).

MTU struck first in the eleventh minute on a goal from Marisa DeMario. DeMario also set up the Huskies' second goal of the day as she crossed it to Tate Robison for a 2-0 lead.

Michigan Tech was able to add another goal in the 58th minute from Brooke Schauer on a penalty kick she pushed into the upper right corner.

Freshman Halle Stork (Stanwood, Mich./Big Rapids) was the starting goalkeeper for the Pride, and was able to notch three saves on the day.

Next up, PNW will migrate north to battle the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals Friday, Sept. 21st at 11 a.m. (CST).
