Box Score WESTVILLE, Ind. -- The Purdue University Northwest volleyball team (3-25, 0-14 GLIAC) put up a fight but the Davenport Panthers (14-13, 8-7 GLIAC) came out victorious in three sets at the James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex.
After Davenport earned the first set victory, PNW fought hard in the second set almost picking up the victory but the Panthers edged out the Pride, 26-24.
The Panthers took control for most of the final set, and earned the 25-14 win as they went on to defeat the Pride in three sets.
Annie Pulizos (Greendale, Wis./Greendale) led PNW on the night with six kills and had a .333 attack percentage while Jenna Pasko (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) talllied five kills on the night.
Christina Dal Santo (St. John, Ind./Andrean) recorded 11 digs in the setback and Abigail Negri (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) had 16 assists to headline the leaders for the Pride.
DU was led by Ashley Vanderhost, who had 14 kills and a .481 attack percentage while Jenn Kay Vander Meer notched 10 kills with a .571 attack percentage.
PNW concludes their regular season tomorrow afternoon for Senior Day as the Pride take on the Grand Valley State Lakers at John Friend Court inside the Fitness and Recreation Center starting at 2 p.m. CT.
