WESTVILLE, Ind. -- The Purdue Northwest women's volleyball team (2-18, 0-11 GLIAC) was unable to come up with a win Saturday as they fell to the Northern Michigan Wildcats (11-8, 3-8 GLIAC) in three sets inside the Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex in Westville.

Jenna Pasko (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) was once again the leader for the Pride as she amassed seven kills, while Eudora Negri (Munster, Ind./Munster) had one of her better outings this season as she hit a .333. Negri and Christina Dal Santo (St. John, Ind./Andrean) ended up with eight digs on the day. 

PNW jumped out to an early lead in the first set, as several Wildcat miscues and a kill from Pasko gave the Pride a 4-0 lead. The match continued to go back and forth with NMU, as they pushed out to an 18-17 lead on a double block from Pasko and Rachel Wilkening (Hebron, Ind./Boone Grove). The Wildcats took the next seven points and won the first set 25-17.

The Pride once again jumped out to an early advantage, as a kill from Carissa Jones (Whiting, Ind./Bishop Noll) made it 5-1 PNW. NMU was able to make a late run including five consecutive points to take the second set on a kill from Jessica Skonning, 25-19 was the final tally.

In the third set, the Pride played their best volleyball of the day and battled Northern Michigan point for point. However, the opposition was able to pull away late and secure the victory on a service ace from Autumn Monsma. 

Next up, Purdue Northwest will head to the Crossover Tournament in Indianapolis, featuring schools from the GLIAC, the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference competing against each other in a round-robin format.  More information can be found on the volleyball team page within our website.
