Box Score HAMMOND, Ind. – The Purdue University Northwest women's soccer team (2-10, 0-5 GLIAC) was defeated Friday in a GLIAC conference match against the No. 14-ranked Ferris State Bulldogs (9-1-2, 3-0-2 GLIAC) 4-0 at Pepsi Field inside Dowling Park.
The Bulldogs struck first in the 19th minute when Carley Dubbert put up what appeared to be a cross that went just over the outstretched arms of Pride goalkeeper Kelley Sharp (Seymour, Ind./Seymour) and found the back of the net for a goal. Ferris State would strike again quickly when Mackenzie Dawes set up Maddie Fouts for her first goal of the season.
In the second half, Ferris State added to its lead with a bullet of a goal from Abigail Gilmore off a set piece from Pia Nagel in the 56th minute. Gabrielle Teodorescu punctuated the lead with a goal off the assist from Maddie Fouts to make it 4-0.
Shelby Ross (Marquette, Mich./Columbus North) led the way for the Pride with three shots including one on goal. Freshman Brook Switzer (Lafayette, Ind./Lafayette Jefferson) also had a shot that was just narrowly saved by the Bulldogs.

Lucie Ashmore (Greystones, Ireland/St. Gerard's School) relieved Sharp in the second half and amassed two saves as she played 15 minutes before leaving the match with an injury. Halle Stork (Stanwood, Mich./Big Rapids) filled in for Ashmore and played the remainder of the match, making two saves.
