Box Score DETROIT, Mich. – The Purdue University Northwest volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Wayne State Friday night.
Jenna Pasko (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) led the way for the Black and Gold with 13 kills and a .423 attack percentage while Carissa Jones (Whiting, Ind./Bishop Noll) added six kills.
Abigail Negri (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) notched 27 assists and Christian Dal Santo (St. John, Ind./Andrean) tallied 19 digs to headline the leaders for the Pride.
After the Black and Gold dropped the opening set, 25-15, PNW came out strong to start Set 2 and took a 12-10 advantage.
PNW would eventually go ahead 16-14, but the Warriors would answer back late in the set to win 25-19.
Wayne State continued to stay strong in the final set, as they won 25-14 to complete the 3-set vicory.
PNW returns to the court tomorrow afternoon with a 2 pm (CST) matchup with Ashland University.
