DAVENPORT, Iowa. – The No.13 Purdue Unviersity Northwest women's basketball team picked up a big road win over No.18 St. Ambrose University, 96-81, Saturday afternoon in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference contest.

The Pride (5-2, 2-0 CCAC) took down the Fighting Bees (2-4, 0-2) thanks to a 27 point and 11 rebound performance from Cassidy Deno (Otterbein, Ind./Benton Central) (Otterbein, Ind./Benton Central).

Senior guard Darien Thompson (Anderson, Ind./Anderson) (Anderson, Ind./Anderson) continued her impressive shooting from beyond the arc with 5 three-point field goals en route to 21 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Junior forward Ellie Michalski (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) would score a career-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting while bringing down eight rebounds to headline the leaders for the Black and Gold.

St. Ambrose would take an early 9-7 lead on the Black and Gold early in the first quarter, but the Pride would answer with an 11-1 run to go up 18-10.

Purdue Northwest would take a 12-point advantage late in the second quarter, after a layup from Katie Wampler (Scottsburg, Ind./Scottsburg) (Scottsburg, Ind./Scottsburg), put the Pride up 46-34, before taking a 46-38 lead heading in to the break.

PNW would stop any comeback efforts from the Fighting Bees and come away with their second straight CCAC win of the season.

Purdue Northwest returns to action Tuesday, Nov. 22, when they host Olivet Nazarene at the Fitness and Recreation Center in Hammond, Ind. at 5:00 p.m. (CT).
