HAMMOND, Ind. – Purdue University Northwest Director of Athletics
Rick Costello announced the hiring of Joey Scott as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications. Scott joins PNW after three seasons in athletic communications at the NCAA Division III level.

Rick Costello, PNW Director of Athletics. "Joey is a rising star in college athletics and I look forward to him serving as the main storyteller for the Pride." Through social media, web releases, videos, and graphics, Scott will share the amazing stories of the Black and Gold.
Scott comes to PNW after serving as Sports Information Director at Defiance College and Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Muskingum University for the last three years.

Scott will direct the sports information presence at games, record and compile all statistics for home events, manage and create content for pnwathletics.com and PNW Pride social media platforms. This content will include photography, graphics, highlight videos, student-athlete and coaching interviews. Scott has experience in media where he served as Producer / Board Operator for 610 WTVN – iHeartMedia, in Columbus, OH and served as Sports Director for Orbit Media in New Concord, OH.
Scott graduated from Muskingum University with a bachelors degree in communications in May 2018 and received his masters in adult education from Muskingum University in May 2021. Scott was also a member of the football team at Muskingum.
