Coach Harris begins his first season in the 2026-27 campaign.
Purdue Northwest Women's Basketball Head Coach Chris Vincent has announced the addition of E'Donis Harris to the coaching staff ahead of the upcoming season.
Harris arrives in Hammond after spending the last two seasons alongside Vincent at Langston University, where the duo helped establish one of the premier programs in NAIA women's basketball. During his tenure with the Lions, Langston compiled an impressive 55-9 overall record and a 40-6 mark in Sooner Athletic Conference play while earning two NAIA National Tournament appearances, two SAC Regular Season Championships, and the 2025 SAC Tournament Championship.
"Coach E has been instrumental while coaching with me the past two seasons in a variety of different roles and has uplifted programs to a national level of recognition," said Coach Vincent. "His dedication to the sport of basketball and family are his first priorities and makes this transition to join the Purdue Northwest program and University seamless. In addition to performing scouting reports and individual workouts on the court and in the weight room, he was able to earn his role to Associate Head Coach with the genuine relationship building which is vital to any athletic department and program. He is someone I trust in growing this brand with his tireless recruiting and the PNW community is going to be lucky to have his presence around right away. "
As Associate Head Coach at Langston from 2024-26, Harris played a significant role in all facets of the program. His responsibilities included leading individual and group skill development sessions, assisting with practice planning and game strategy implementation, scouting opponents, analyzing game film, managing in-game adjustments, and mentoring student-athletes both on and off the court.
Prior to his time at Langston, Harris built an extensive coaching background throughout the Oklahoma City area. He served as the head coach of JEB Elite's 16U Boys AAU team from 2019-25, where he oversaw player development, organized practice plans, and fostered a positive team culture.
Harris also coached with the Oklahoma City Storm through the National Christian Homeschool Association from 2019-21, serving as the 16U Head Coach and 18U Assistant Coach. In those roles, he developed practice plans, implemented game strategies, managed in-game adjustments, and led skill development sessions for players.
Known for his commitment to player growth and relationship-building, Harris has earned a reputation for helping student-athletes maximize their potential while contributing to winning environments.
"I am excited for the opportunity to join Coach Vincent and the Purdue Northwest family," said Harris. "The vision for this program is incredibly exciting, and I look forward to helping our student-athletes develop both on and off the court. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of building something special here at Purdue Northwest."
Harris earned his bachelors degree in accounting in 2019 from Langston University and is a native of Chicago, Illinois.
