Nineteen student-athletes from eight different Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) full-time schools and two associate members have been named 2025-26 Winter and Spring Scholar-Athletes of the Year, it was announced by the conference office on Friday. Recipients were honored for their efforts both in the classroom and competition in the sports of baseball, men's and women's basketball, women's bowling, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, STUNT, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track & field, men's volleyball, and men's and women's wrestling.

Black is a base/tumbler from near Crown Point, Indiana and is a current nursing major at PNW.

Addison had a tremendous year for the STUNT in their second overall season. She was named First Team All-GLVC and earned GLVC All-Tournament Team honors during the league's inaugural STUNT season. She garnered DII STUNT National Championships All-Tournament Team and Second Team recognition.

Purdue Northwest Athletics named her the 2025-26 Female Athlete of the Year, while also earning team MVP honors while serving as team captain while helping the Pride reach the program's first postseason in just its second varsity season.

She played an integral part in helping guide Purdue Northwest to a runner-up finish at the GLVC Championship and a top-six finish at the DII STUNT National Championships and started all 26 contests and competed in more than 350 rounds of play.

In the classroom she achieved a perfect 4.0 semester GPA, holding a 3.93 cumulative mark and earned Academic All-GLVC honors.

The league selects one student-athlete in each conference sport to be designated the GLVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The award is based upon athletic accomplishments, both team and individual, and academic performance in the season upon which the award is based. Each GLVC member has the opportunity to nominate one individual from its team for the award. Nominees must have a cumulative grade point average that meets a 3.50, and freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible for the award. The voting is completed by each member institution's Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR).
