The Purdue Northwest ACHA DI Hockey team ended their season after falling in the Sweet 16 of the ACHA DI Hockey National Tournamnent against #1 Minot State, 4-1.

Inside The Numbers

• Sophomore Chase Solberg (Anchorage, Alaska/) led the Pride scoring the lone goal.
• Senior Hayden Masloski (Andover, Minn./) and junior Carter Hobbs (Des Moines, Iowa/) chipped in one assist each.
• Junior Cooper Olson (Maple Grove, Minn./) played all 60 minutes between the pipes for the Pride and gave it his all. He made 35 saves on the night against a top offensive opponent to help keep PNW in the game.
• Four different Minot State players scored a goal each to lead the team.
• Jake Anthoney played all 60 minutes in goal for the Beavers making 25 saves to earn the win.

The Breakdown

• Minot State struck first in the first period to take a 1-0 lead.
• The game was halted and later postponed after the first period due to severe weather and tornado watches in the St. Louis area.
• The game restarted in the second period the following day. The Beavers scored two goals to take a 3-0 lead in the middle of the second.
• The Pride got their lone goal late in the second period to cut their deficit to 3-1 heading into the third.
• Minot State scored their final goal in the third period to make it 4-1. The Beavers held the Pride after late efforts in the end but would fall short 4-1 to make thier season come to a close.
