Purdue Northwest Volleyball senior
Livia Thomsen (Bettendorf, Iowa/Pleasant Valley) has earned this weeks RUSH Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week honors after her amazing weekend of play at the Midwest Volleyball Crossover.
Thomsen had an incredible weekend on the defensive end for the team, leading PNW with 76 total digs and 5.84 digs per set en route to a 3-0 weekend for the Pride. Livia had a match high 23 digs in a three-set sweep over Mckendree followed up with a match high 29 digs against Drury in a five-set thrilling victory on Friday night and continues to show why she is one of the top liberos in the conference.
She currently sits third in the GLIAC in digs per set and top-10 in total digs. This is her third recognition this week after being named to the Midwest Volleyball Crossover All-Tournament Team and earning GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
