The Purdue University Northwest Department of Athletics is thrilled to announce that its student-athletes achieved an impressive cumulative team GPA of 3.25 for the Fall 2024 semester. This marks the 18th consecutive semester that the Pride have exceeded a 3.0 GPA, showcasing their strong commitment to academic success. Additionally, the Pride posted an outstanding 97-percent retention rate.
"I am so proud of the amazing academic achievements of the PNW Pride student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Rick Costello. "The Pride are students first and athletes second. I congratulate our students on their commitment to academic excellence. It is wonderful to see them reaching new heights every semester. I extend my sincere gratitude to our faculty, staff, and coaches for their continuous dedication to our students' education."
Softball took top honors for the semester after a program best 3.78 team GPA. Rounding out the top five teams included Women's Tennis (3.76), Women's Golf (3.55), Volleyball (3.52), and DI Ice Hockey (3.46)

Congratulations to them for their continued dedication and discipline, both on and off the field," said Natalie Jarrett, Assistant Athletic Director for  Student Success/Senior Woman Administrator. "Achieving a GPA above 3.0 for eighteen consecutive semesters is a testament to the hard work of our exceptional student-athletes and coaches."
Also in the Fall 2024 semester, 35 student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA, 215 student-athletes earned a 3.5 or higher GPA, and 44% of the student-athletes received a 3.0 GPA or higher.
