#11 DI Hockey shuts out #13 Calvin to advance to programs first GLCHL Championship

The #11 Purdue Northwest ACHA DI Hockey advanced to the programs first-ever GLCHL Championship game after shutting out #13 Calvin in the Semi-Finals on Friday night, 4-0.

  • Sophomore Michael Clough (Andover, Minn./)  led the Pride with two goals and an assist.
  • Junior Sam Bourdages (Hearst, Ontario/) and sophomore Andrew Remer (Lake Orion, Mich./) each netted one goal and one assist.
  • Sophomore Carter Hobbs (Des Moines, Iowa/) chipped in two assists during the game.
  • Sophomore Cooper Olson (Maple Grove, Minn./) played all 60 minutes between the pipes for the Pride and recorded 43 saves to earn his sixth shutout on the season and second straight of the tournament.
  • Adam Yost played all 60 minutes in the net for the Knights making 34 total saves.

  • The Pride scored two goals early in the first period to take a 2-0 lead into the second.
  • The Pride netted two more goals in the second period to increase their lead to 4-0.
  • Both teams were held scoreless in the third period after outstanding goal-tending and penalty killing to secure the 4-0 win for Purdue Northwest.
