The Purdue Northwest women's golf team competed in the 2024 Panther's Invitational, held on Saturday and Sunday in Richland, Michigan, and hosted by Davenport University. The Pride secured a 6th place team finish out of 13 teams, with Chia-Hsuan Lee leading the charge with a strong 4th place individual finish. Chia-Hsuan Lee would also break the Purdue Northwest School record for Low Round vs. Par (70 -2) and the team would set two new records for Team Low 36 Hole Total (622 +46) and Team Single Day Scoring (305+17).
The Basics:
• The event took place at Stonehenge North GC in Richland, Michigan.
• The event was hosted by Davenport University
• Saginaw Valley State emerged as the victors of the Invitational, posting a combined 591 (296-295).
The Players:
• Chia-Hsuan Lee finished 4th with a total score of 146, shooting rounds of 76 and 70.

Halie Wolf (Lafayette, Ind./) placed 26th with a combined score of 158, posting rounds of 79 and 79.
•
Brynlee DeBoard (Demotte, Ind./Kankakee Valley) tied for 28th, recording a score of 159 with rounds of 81 and 78.
•
Kaitlyn Valiska (New Lenox, Ill./) also tied for 28th with a total of 159, shooting 81 and 78 in her rounds.
• Wen-Yi Hung finished 35th overall, posting a score of 160 with rounds of 81 and 79.

The golf team is set to resume competition on Saturday, October 12th, in Augusta, Michigan taking part in 2024 Panther Invitational. Tee off is slated for 9:00 AM.
