The Purdue Northwest ACHA D3 Hockey dropped two games this weekend to Miami OH. Losing Game 1 on Friday night 3-2, and Game 2 on Saturday evening, 6-1.

The Basics
  • Records: Purdue Northwest (6-4), Miami OH (Unkown)
  • Location: Oxford, Ohio
  • Game one of weekend series
Game 1 
Inside the Numbers
  • Freshman Anthony Caserta (Perth, Ontario/Perth District Collegiate Institute) and Senior Cole Bocock led The Pride with a goal apiece.
  • Nicholas Anderson, Brendan Kerrick (St. John, Ind./Lake Central HS), and Kevin Pietrucha each dished out an assist.
  • Junior Vincent Didonato played all 60 minutes in goal for the Pride and had 55 saves.
  • Peter Lally played all 60 minutes in goal for Miami.
The Breakdown
  • The Pride would strike first in period one with a goal from Bocock to take an early lead. However, Miami would tie the game up at the end of the first period with a goal from Mussay.
  • In period two both teams would play outstanding defense allowing no goals.
  • In period three both teams would find the back off the net to keep the game tied 2-2. The Pride's goal coming from Caserta and Miami's goal coming from Feyler off a powerplay.
  • With the game tied Miami was able to score a game winning goal in the final 30 seconds of the game to secure a 3-2 victory.

  • Senior Cole Bocock scored the lone goal for The Pride.
  • Senior Zander Zafiro (Williams Bay, Wis,/Morris) played all 60 minutes in goal for The Pride.
  • Nolan Feyler led Miami with three goals.
  • Peter Lally played all 60 minutes in goal for Butler.
The Breakdown
  • Period one would be a defensive battle as each team couldn't find the back of the net.
  • In period two Bocock would get the Pride on the board with an unassisted goal.
  • Miami would score two goals in period two from Feyler.
  • Miami would put the game out of reach in period three adding four goals to secure the 6-1 victory.
