Box Score FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The top-seeded Purdue Northwest ice hockey team defeated fourth-seeded St. Norbert, 6-1, in Friday morning's NCHL playoff game at the Blue Line Ice Center.
With the semifinal win, the Pride (16-14) advanced to the NCHL Orange Division Tournament Championship game on Saturday where they will take on No. 2 seed UW-Oshkosh for the Bruno Goblet. Puck drop is set for 12:30 PM CST.
Craig Herman (Bloomington, Minn./Bloomington Kennedy HS) scored in the opening minute to get the scoring started Friday as the Pride built a 3-1 lead after one period.
PNW would add two goals in the second period from Herman and
Brandon Prodoehl (Munster, Ind./Munster HS), before
Josh Hall (Oshawa, Ontario/J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate) added a power-play goal in the third.
Goaltender
Zander Zafiro (Williams Bay, Wis./Morris Community HS) earned the win between the pipes for the Pride.
