The Pride drop second game in back-to-back with DePaul

Box Score HAMMOND, Ind. — The Purdue Northwest D2 men's ice hockey team dropped Saturday's matchup against DePaul by the same score as the previous night against the Blue Demons at The Kube, 6-2.

PNW dropped to 12-13 overall and will gear up for its final home series of the year next week. The Pride are slated to host Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Friday-Saturday, Feb. 4-5.

Brandon Prodoehl (Munster, Ind./Munster HS) put the Pride ahead 1-0 just 3:28 into the first period after the junior forward cleaned up at the net. Craig Herman (Bloomington, Minn./Bloomington Kennedy HS) was credited with the assist.

After DePaul responded with a pair of goals, Sam Bourdages (Hearst, Ontario) netted the equalizer at 16:48 in the opening period with assists by Brett Bandstra (Dyer, IND./Lake Central HS) and Duncan McCourt (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville Community HS).

The Blue Demons scored all four of their remaining goals in the second period as the two teams went scoreless in the final stanza.

Goaltender Zander Zafiro (Williams Bay, Wis./Morris Community HS) drew the start for PNW and Curtis Campbell (Oshawa, Ontario/Maxwell Heights HS) came on in the third period.
