HAMMOND, Ind. — The Purdue University Northwest Athletic Department will host the Fifth Annual Fall Sports Festival at Dowling Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19. The Fall Sports Festival is presented by Laborers Local 41 and celebrates the new athletic season and features six of the Pride's sports teams in competition including: Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Men's Tennis, Softball, Baseball, and Men's Ice Hockey.
In addition to the games, the festival will feature a number of other family-friendly activities.
Gates open at 11 a.m. inside Dowling Park. General admission prices include $8 for adults and $5 for children. PNW students attend home games for free.
Dowling Park is located one mile southeast of the PNW Hammond campus, east of Kennedy Avenue and just north of Interstate 80/94.
The women's soccer team hosts Ferris State at noon CT, followed by the men's soccer team hosting St. Cloud State at 2:30 p.m. CT, in a pair of key conference matchups.
Four additional athletic events will begin simultaneously at noon CT.
Softball will be taking on Lake Michigan College at RUSH Physical Therapy Field. Also, Baseball will host Ancilla College at Laborers' Local 41 Field.
Additionally, Men's Tennis welcomes St. Francis (IL) to the outdoor courts at Dowling Park, and Men's Ice Hockey is set to host its Black & White Game at The Kube Sports Complex which sits adjacent to the soccer field.
Season Tickets Available
Season tickets for PNW men's soccer, women's soccer, and women's volleyball are on sale now to the general public. Tickets can be purchased online at PNWathletics.com or by calling (219) 989-2540.
Each sport features great value packages — the biggest savings occur with the purchase of two individual season tickets. PNW faculty and staff members also receive a discount on ticket plans. In addition to the season tickets, each plan also includes free parking and free admission for children 3 and under.
