Pride win third straight, defeat Lewis 9-6 on the road

Box Score ROMEOVILLE, Ill. — The Purdue University Northwest D2 hockey team scored three goals in each period to defeat Lewis University (IL) 9-6 Friday night inside the Canlan Ice Sports Arena. The matchup served as the Northern Collegiate Hockey League (NCHL) opener for the Pride.

With the victory, PNW improved to 7-6 overall and captured its third straight win. The Pride have scored 20 goals during the recent streak.

Brandon McNeal (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and Craig Herman (Bloomington, Minn.) each registered a hat trick while Brandon Prodoehl (Munster, Ind.) scored twice and Sam Bourdages (Hearst, Ontario) added a goal with team-high four assists.

Assists were also credited to Prodoehl (3), Herman, Tyler Hoffman (Waunakee, Wis.) (2), Brett Bandstra (Dyer, Ind.) (2), Jeremy Lochow (Homer Glen, Ill.), Ryan Gallant (Oshawa, Ontario) and Xavier Emslander (Germany).

UP NEXT
PNW and Lewis will square off tomorrow afternoon back at the Canlan Ice Sports Arena in Romeoville. The Pride are set to return home next weekend against Marquette.
