Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Purdue University Northwest D2 men's hockey team couldn't hold on to its early lead in Saturday's 6-3 road setback to Davenport.

PNW (3-4-0) got on the board just 1:25 into the game as forward Ryan Butt found the back of the net on the Pride's first shot attempt of the night. It was the sophomore's first goal of the season.

Davenport (2-0-0) would answer with a power-play goal to send the game into the first intermission even at 1-1. After the Panthers took a 2-1 lead in the second, Tyler Black fired a shot past the glove side of the goaltender to even the score at 2-2 midway through the period. However, the hosts would tack on another goal to lead 3-2 moving to the third.

Then, Kevin Pietrucha recorded his fourth goal of the season at the 8:04 marker in the final period, which tied the game at 3-3. But, Davenport would respond quickly with a pair of goals and then added another score on an empty net.

PNW's Curtis Campbell logged 19 saves in goal for the Pride.
