CROWN POINT, Ind. - - The Purdue Northwest Ice Hockey team will be hosting the University of Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, November 9 at Bulldog Park in Crown Point.
"This game brings us back to our early childhood memories, playing on OVR's or ponds, really back to the basics of where hockey started," said Goaltender
Kyle Fritz (Saint Laurent, Quebec, Canada/Vanguard).
Bulldog Park has an NHL-sized rink that was unveiled to the public on Dec. 22, 2018. The opening was met with a huge success, Mayor David Uran
previously told The Times. Within the first two weeks of opening, the rink saw around 8,500 visitors.
"Playing against a team as big as Michigan really gives us a jump for joy," Fritz said. "I think it's going to be a great turnout."
A special dedication will begin at 2:00 p.m. (CT) with the game between the two ACHA D2 clubs starting at 3:00 p.m. Admission is free.
